This role is predominantly home working with a requirement to attend out Manchester based head office once per month.

 

The role:

 

A fantastic opportunity to join a growing team overseeing and leading Analysts, to drive and deliver pricing recommendations and analytics in line with the Bank's strategic direction for all Retail banking products. The Senior Pricing Manager will partner Retail Product Managers to deliver commercial objectives, optimising pricing to acquire new customers and build relationships with existing customers.

 

Key Accountabilities:

 

Customer

  • Define and own the end to end customer experience including customer attraction, application, service, usage, customer need changes, key customer help requests, customer interventions, retention strategies and closures.
  • Lead review of Pricing in line with Consumer Duty reforms to ensure our products offer fair value and deliver good outcomes for our customers.
  • Define and drive delivery of robust analytics to make pricing and rate change recommendations to senior stakeholders and governance committees.
  • Identify and put in place analytics to support risk appetite tracking, forecasting, plan performance management and funding requirements.
  • Develop and manage effective relationships with key internal stakeholders including the Product Teams, Credit Risk, Treasury and Finance to support delivery of opportunities and to develop changes to pricing and propositions to influence balance movement and product mix.

People/Leadership

  • People manage two Senior Pricing Analysts. Enable colleague empowerment and development via stretching objectives aligned to the Bank's strategy and values, effective PDPs and regular 121s, embedding a people-focussed culture where colleague wellbeing is paramount.
  • Create and embed a high performance culture though role modelling strong leadership behaviours and encouraging a culture of continuous personal growth.
  • Monitor talent and succession planning to ensure high performers are nurtured and retained.

Financial / Commercials

  • Identify opportunities to embed enhanced Retail Product, Competitor and Customer analytical /MI requirements.

  • Lead the development and delivery of pricing elasticity and propensity models that result in the delivery of optimal pricing recommendations for the Deposits, Secured and Unsecured lending portfolio.

 Risk and process

  • Identify and manage all regulatory, operational and conduct risks arising from the product set in accordance with the Bank's risk appetite.

  • Ensure the team continually meet all regulatory, risk and control requirements and the appropriate robust governance arrangements are in place.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required:

  • Makes decisions within product design, customer experience and commercial outcomes within product line and where representing Product in committees.
  • Owns and develops key Financial Models which are governed through Model Risk.
  • Determines allocation of pre-determined resources to achieve plans.
  • Agrees operational service levels with key stakeholders.
  • Prioritises own workload within context of agreed operating plan.
  • Operates within the Bank Delegated Authority Framework (Including the Financial Delegated Authority Policy) commensurate with role level.
  • Extensive and in depth knowledge of the UK Financial Services marketplace, with proven experience of significant Banking products / categories (product strategies, pricing, analytics, competitor activity, market developments and trends).
  • Finance qualification preferred.
  • Strong understanding of critical category value drivers and commercial outcomes.
  • Proven track record in planning, forecasting and financial interpretation skills.
  • Proven track record in stakeholder management.
  • Strong communications / Influencing skills evidenced through a number of techniques.
  • Technical expertise in analytical tools and techniques.
