As part of our hybrid working, you will be required to work from our Manchester city centre office once per week.

 

Our Procurement Specialist

 

If you are a Procurement professional thinking about your next step into a fast paced, strategic role this position may be for you our Procurement specialist Manager may be the role for you.

We are looking for a tenacious and collaborative IT or Cyber Procurement Specialist to support the development and delivery of our category strategies, drive the procurement of IT software and services in a cost effective and efficient manner across our bank. This role will involve building solid relationships, stakeholder management and thinking on your feet to deliver on multiple fast paced projects.

 

You will need an understanding of how software negations and IT systems work and a solid background in IT tech software procurement. This role will give you the opportunity for great exposure across our business at a senior level and the ability to play a key role in category transformation and procurement management.

 

What will this role involve?

 

*       Provide support, advice and guidance to business users, and lead on areas such as market analysis, supplier development, tender processes, data analysis and negotiation to ensure savings are delivered within a best practice framework.

*       Lead on related category negotiations with suppliers to ensure savings are achieved, and value for money and efficiencies are secured for the business.

*       Devise, collect and analyse spend and market data in support of procurement strategies including collaborative working and shared services.

*       Produce and manage sourcing activities (RFx) for key areas of spend within the category

*       Manage significant and complex supplier contracts in line with policies and procedures to drive both value and compliance for the Bank

 

What will you need?

 

*       Excellent category management skills and experience in IT, Technology, Cyber, Telecomms, Software sourcing a broad range of goods and services in relevant category area.

*       Track Record in understanding and negotiation of IT, Software and Service Contracts

*       Experience of working within a heavily regulated environment (does not have to be banking)

*       Evidence of developing and implementing category strategies either in a leading or supporting role

*       Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills

*       Management of end to end RFP processes,  contract award and supplier management

*       Ability to thrive in a fast paced, ambiguous environment

*       MCIPS or working towards would be ideal, but would consider business experience
